Om Ganesha
The mystical symbol OM is the most powerful symbol of the divine in Hindu philosophy. It is said to be the first sound that ever was. When inverted, this symbol looks like the profile of the elephant headed Hindu deity Ganesha. Ganesha swallows the sorrows of the Universe and offers protection to the whole world. He is known as the remover of obstacles and as the god of writers and academics. Ganesha is the only god associated with a sacred sound, indicating his supreme position in the Hindu pantheon of gods and goddesses.
